"The number of people visiting the lake front has almost doubled when compared to normal days. And increase could be anything around 60-70%," said an AMC official.

A week long extravaganza started on December 25 and will end on December 31. Many cultural programs have been organized. College and school students have also participated in the cultural programmed.

"It is a fun filled event and an interesting place for families to celebrate. I came with my wife and son and we are enjoying it. My son tried his hands on most of the thrilling games and wants more," said Jitendra, a resident of Chandkheda.

On Sunday, the authorities were forced to close the shows before the schedule time due to huge rush. Officials said that Rs 2.5 crore was spent on organizing the carnival.
The show depicts the various stages of Sardar Patel's life starting from the school and his political life when he was called Sardar.

The show captures the incidents of Patel's formative years which shaped him in becoming the Iron Man of India. It delivers the message using the puppets. One of the incidents is of Sardar's school days when he removed a rock bolder which acted as a hurdle on the road leading to his school in Karamsad.
